Apex Resources are looking for a Logistics Operative for our client based in East Kilbride working a 4 day week on dayshift!

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Operative to manage Goods Out operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy, safety, and timely processing throughout the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

Goods Out:

  • Pick and pack items according to dispatch notes or customer orders.
  • Prepare goods for dispatch, including wrapping, labelling, and documentation.
  • Load goods safely and efficiently onto delivery vehicles.
  • Ensure timely handover of goods to couriers or drivers.

General Duties:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Support stock counts and inventory audits.
  • Always follow company health and safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a logistics or warehouse environment
  • Familiarity with inventory systems or scanners
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling (lifting, bending, standing).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy.
  • Clean driving licence

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations.
  • Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
