Logistics Operative – Aerospace Industry

We do not offer sponsorship. Location: Denham, UB9 (own transport required). Salary: £26,700 – £27,700, equivalent to around £14.20 per hour + overtime potential. Pension: Private, plus 9% employer contribution. Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays. Hours: Mon–Thurs 08:00–17:00 | Fri 08:00–12:00

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operative to join a leading aerospace engineering company in Denham. This role involves preparing, packing, and moving precision aerospace components that play a vital role in saving lives worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing, packing, and labelling aerospace parts to technical specifications
  • Validating batch numbers, part descriptions, and quantities using SAP
  • Ensuring accurate, safe, and well-presented packing for on-time dispatch
  • Coordinating with logistics and shipping teams
  • Carrying out quality checks and self-inspections
  • Picking, issuing, and receiving goods and materials
  • Operating forklifts, pallet stackers, scissor lifts, and saws
Requirements
  • Proven background as a Logistics Operative (aerospace/manufacturing preferred or automotive, defence or rail)
  • Stable work history over the past 5 years
  • Knowledge of packing methods, tools, and aerospace standards
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Competent with Microsoft Word/Excel (SAP an advantage)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
