Overview

Are you a dedicated and flexible professional with a passion for logistics and material handling? Join our dynamic team as a Logistics Operative and play a crucial role in ensuring our products are delivered safely on time, and in perfect condition.

Responsibilities & Skills
  • Material Handling: Transport materials from receiving or production areas to designated locations using manual or electric hand trucks.
  • Kitting Materials: Prepare and kit materials for delivery to the manufacturing line.
  • 5S Inspections: Conduct regular 5S inspections to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to and promote EHS best practices, aligning fully with GE EHS standards.
  • Transportation Methods: Proficiency in road, sea, air, and multimodal freight.
  • Specialised Freight: Experience with dangerous goods, heavy lifts, and oversized loads.
  • Industrial Packing and Import/Export: Knowledge of industrial packing techniques and import/export procedures.
  • Education and Experience: Good general education and proven experience in material handling.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with computerized stores management systems (SAP knowledge is a plus) and understanding of Kanban/FIFO systems.
  • Certifications: Forklift truck operator certificate. Counterbalance/Aisle Master and Multi-Directional (Combi) licenses are desirable.
