Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack items following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Complete Dangerous Goods training and handle materials safely.
  • Transfer materials to inspection and packing areas.
  • Direct inbound couriers to appropriate unloading bays.
  • Hand over correct deliveries to the outbound courier.

Job Title: Logistics Operative

Location: Ansty Park, Coventry

Hours: Multiple Shifts Available

Monday - Friday (07:00 am - 15:30 pm)

Monday - Friday (06:00 am - 14:30 pm)

Monday - Friday (14:00 pm - 22:15 pm)

Duration: Permanent

Salary: 33,800 - 34,700

The Logistics Operative role sits within a busy manufacturing environment, where precision, safety, and adaptability are essential. The ideal candidate will be a multi-skilled individual with a proactive attitude, capable of contributing to a seamless and efficient team operation.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Picking and packing, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and adhering to set processes and detailed instructions.
  • All team members are required to complete Dangerous Goods training and must be comfortable handling materials.
  • Transfer of materials to quality inspection and/ or packing area or production zones
  • Ensuring inbound couriers are directed safely across the yard to the appropriate unloading bay.
  • Handover of correct deliveries to the outbound courier and retrieve the signed collection note.

Skills required:

  • Previous experience in a manual handling and hands-on shop floor position in a manufacturing environment or warehouse.
  • Previous experience within a wider manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • A good team player and an individual who has an eagerness to grow and learn.
  • A good level of physical capability is required, with regular manual handling as part of the role.
  • High focus on attention to detail, always maintaining quality standards.
