You’re purpose driven. Growth minded. Ready to stretch your potential. Welcome to Orbia’s Building & Infrastructure business, Wavin, where our purpose ‘to advance life around the world’ drives our entire global team.

Every day, we are thinking big and working smart to solve some of the toughest challenges impacting the world. Whether it’s facilitating clean drinking water for communities, creating climate resilient cities, or designing more comfortable living spaces, we never settle for “good enough” when there’s an opportunity to make life better.

Where purpose comes to life, it changes lives. This is what we work for. How about you?

At Orbia Building & Infrastructure (Wavin), we advance life around the world by building healthy, sustainable environments. And where is our help most needed? The places we live in: cities where drinking water is leaking away, greenery is disappearing, streets are flooding after heavy rain, and outdated sewer systems are polluting our groundwater. It’s time to join our team and help build more sustainable environments!

We are currently looking for a Logistics Operative to join us at Doncaster. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.

Reporting to the Logistics Team Leader, the Logistics Operative will be responsible for picking, packing, preparing and loading customer orders in a safe, accurate and efficient manner in line with established business ways of working and KPIs. The role involves a requirement where necessary to operate various forms of MHE as appropriate.

The role

To ensure compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures as well as actively participating in the Health and Safety WorkSafe program.

  • To meet minimum performance standards in terms of accuracy and efficiency relating to picking, packing, preparation and loading of customer orders
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Continuous Improvement plans and projects
  • Be positive towards own self development and undertake training to improve and increase skill set
  • To undertake work in other operational departments such as Production should the need arise and if qualified to do so
  • Perform manual handling and operate MHE when required
The profile

The successful candidate will have previous experience within a similar environment and have numeracy and literacy skills in addition to basic IT knowledge. The postholder will be an excellent communicator with an ability to correctly follow work processes and procedures ensuring adherence to the required health and safety standards.

We are keen to welcome a team player who can also work independently and who holds a commitment to Continuous Improvement.
