Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking a Logistics & Materials Lead for a Barrow-in-Furness site. The role is a 2-year contract with day rates inside IR35 and hybrid working (3–4 days onsite).

The successful candidate will manage end-to-end logistics, oversee inventories and contractor relationships, and coordinate offshore mobilisations. Offshore certifications and maritime/aviation planning experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level.
• Relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
• Vantage system - Admin Training.
• Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Sea and Air.
• Offshore certification (BOSIET, MIST, Medical, etc) preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Interface between the business and contracted logistics providers to meet logistics needs safely and cost-effectively.
• Manage end-to-end logistics operations and material movements (marine, aviation, road, and quayside).
• Own and manage relevant contracts, ensuring value delivery and innovation.
• Monitor contractor performance, KPIs, and service delivery.
• Maintain accurate tracking and records of all logistics and material movements.
• Coordinate movement of personnel, equipment, and materials to/from offshore assets.
