Job description

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Logistics Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. As a Logistics Manager you'll be accountable for the Productivity & Programmes plan. This is a role where you'll work closely with senior stakeholders to define, develop and deliver the plan in line with current Commercial agreements.

Some of your responsibilities include:

  • To ensure there are ongoing reviews of the activity to make sure we have an ever improving flow of goods to our stores, managing stakeholder requirements and highlighting risks and issues for escalation.

  • You'll maintain a strong focus on making things simpler for our colleagues and better for our customers.

  • You'll be accountable for the design, development and implementation of end to end processes from multi site morrisons supply through to convenience picking centres and our Morrison's stores ensuring a smooth flow of products are always available in a timely manner.

  • To provide innovative and improve ways of working to speed up and simplify the work of the CPC to improve the customer experience.

  • You will use Performance metrics to influence the supply stream to improve the flow of goods to customers.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent knowledge of policy & procedures for logistics built up over a significant time

  • Proven ability to understand customer requirements and respond to their feedback

  • The ability to use objectivity to challenge senior stakeholders where needed

  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation and decision making skills

  • The ability to deliver under pressure and in situations of ambiguity

  • A strong commercial understanding of how certain decisions impact the business and our stakeholders

  • Previous experience and success of setting up and leading a team
