We uniquely interface with both the world's largest airlines and airframers, offering the broadest seats portfolio among suppliers. In the UK, Safran Seats specializes in First and Business Class seating for wide-body aircraft, with teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales, and Brackley, England.

The role's purpose is to manage operational activities within the logistics function and contribute to the overall logistics strategy of SGB, ensuring commitments to customers are met. The role involves leading and supporting a team to achieve operational metrics aligned with the Supply Chain strategy, and driving continuous improvement of processes and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Leading, mentoring, and developing the supply chain team.
  2. Ensuring a safe working environment and promoting HSE culture through audits and improvement plans.
  3. Understanding and maintaining process standards (SCOUT) and developing improvements.
  4. Managing and communicating Logistics KPIs to stakeholders.
  5. Driving continuous improvement activities.
  6. Managing team activities, including meetings, data updates, employee management, and recruitment.
  7. Optimizing operational resources through effective team evaluation and allocation.

Candidate skills:

  • Working knowledge of key warehousing processes, preferably multi-site.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in team leadership and people management.
  • Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with Safran Leadership Model and reporting.
  • HSE qualification.
  • Positive attitude and adaptability to challenges.
