Qualifications

  • CITB Managers and Professional (MAPS) required before start date.
  • SMSTS certification within first 3 months.
  • Supervisory experience in plant operations or construction.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Plant & Fleet Chargehands and Operatives ensuring compliance.
  • Produce and execute Daily Activity Briefings (DABs).
  • Perform Point of Work Risk Assessments for loading/unloading activities.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 15:30

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Logistics Manager (Black Hat) - Plant & Fleet at Hinkley Point C.

As a Logistics Manager, your main responsibilities will be to supervise Plant & Fleet Chargehands and Operatives, ensuring safe work practices and compliance with RAMS, DABS, and HPC processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce and execute Daily Activity Briefings (DABs) and set the team to work
  • Complete familiarisation/competency training and maintain records
  • Ensure plant/equipment maintenance, refuelling, and record-keeping
  • Maintain Fuel Card integrity for domestic vehicles
  • Ensure proper parking and secure storage of plant, equipment, and keys
  • Complete Point of Work Risk Assessments for loading/unloading activities
  • Provide load securing familiarisation training
  • Coordinate unloading of deliveries and ensure proper documentation
  • Create and deliver weekly Toolbox Talks and keep records
What do we need from you:
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Essential

  • CITB Managers and Professional (MAPS) - must be obtained before start date
  • SMSTS - within first 3 months of employment
  • Supervisory experience, preferably in plant operations or construction
  • Understanding of Delivery Management Systems
  • Knowledge of safe loading and load security
  • Driving Licence

Desirable

  • HPC pass holder
  • IOSH certification
  • NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management
  • Knowledge of CPCS training
Site Specific Information:
  • Provide a 3-year work/unemployment/education history and complete vetting in line with HPC protocols
  • Obtain HPC pass
  • Remote site access requires a 45-minute bus journey each way
