Job summary

The Whittan Group in Milton Keynes is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead the warehouse, goods-in, dispatch operations and transport coordination. You will drive inventory accuracy, KPI performance, and health and safety standards on site.

Collaborating with Production, Planning, Procurement and Customer Service, you will optimise logistics processes, develop teams, and ensure reliable service to customers while supporting manufacturing performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing logistics, warehouse, or distribution operations.
• Experience leading teams within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience coordinating transport and customer deliveries.
• Experience working with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems.
• Excellent communication and people management abilities.
• Health and Safety training appropriate to the role.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring materials and finished goods are handled, stored, and moved efficiently.
• Coordinating transport providers to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and stock control processes.
• Working closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, and Customer Service teams.
• Monitoring logistics KPIs, budgets, productivity, and service performance.
• Leading, developing, and motivating warehouse and logistics personnel.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations.
• Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.

This is an excellent opportunity for a logistics professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for operational excellence to play a key role in supporting manufacturing performance and customer satisfaction., As Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Experience handling large, heavy, or bulky products., Relevant logistics, warehousing or supply chain qualifications.
• Appropriate forklift or materials-handling equipment qualifications.
