A leading construction contractor in Central London is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager for a high-end commercial office fit-out project. You will oversee site logistics, ensuring smooth operations while adhering to safety standards. Candidates should have proven logistics management experience on major construction projects and hold a valid CPCS certification. We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Contractor for an experienced Logistics Manager to join a major high-end commercial office fit-out project in Central London. This is a key role on a fast-paced, technically demanding project for a blue-chip client.
The Role
Working closely with the site and project management teams, the Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing all site logistics, including plant movement, material deliveries, hoist operations, and traffic management. You will ensure that all logistical operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in strict accordance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage a comprehensive logistics plan tailored to high-end fit-out operations
Coordinate just-in-time deliveries for M&E materials and equipment
Manage hoist scheduling and access control to support multiple trades and tight programmes
Supervise traffic marshals, delivery operatives, and logistics support staff
Monitor site movements to reduce congestion and support project sequencing
Maintain daily records and ensure all vehicle operations comply with CPCS regulations
Liaise with the main contractor, subcontractors, and client representatives to manage logistical needs
Enforce and uphold all health, safety, and environmental standards on site
Requirements:
Proven experience in logistics management on major fit-out or M&E-heavy construction projects
Previous involvement in high-end or blue-chip commercial projects preferred
Valid CPCS Certification essential
Excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills
SMSTS / SSSTS (desirable)
Ability to work independently and proactively in a busy site environment
