Job description

Ridgeway & Co are working with an established and reputable main contractor who are seeking a Logistics Manager to take day-to-day responsibility for the delivery of a residential project in Leatherhead paying up to GBP65,000 PA.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and experienced construction professional to join a growing contractor with a strong pipeline of residential work across the East of England.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement logistics strategies to support smooth site operations.

• Coordinate deliveries, manage site access, and maintain just-in-time schedules.

• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and site managers to ensure efficient material flow.

• Oversee traffic management and vehicle movement on-site.

• Monitor stock levels and ensure the timely procurement of materials and equipment.

• Manage waste removal and recycling in compliance with health & safety and environmental standards.

• Resolve logistical issues promptly to minimise disruption to project timelines.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Logistics Manager (preferably in construction or a similar fast-paced industry).

• Strong understanding of construction site operations and supply chain management.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Knowledge of health & safety regulations and site compliance standards.

• Valid CSCS card and relevant health & safety qualifications (e.g., SMSTS or SSSTS) preferred.

• Full UK driving licence.
