Job Overview : We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Logistics Manager to oversee logistics operations, inventory management, and coordinate with the mechanical assembly team to ensure efficient and timely distribution of goods. In this critical role, you will contribute to business growth, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, driving operational excellence while meeting project requirements and delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Planning : Manage and optimize logistics, warehouse operations, transportation, and customer experience to achieve business objectives.
  • End-to-End Coordination : Oversee the entire cycle of inbound and outbound goods, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Freight and Logistics Negotiation : Liaise and negotiate with logistics providers for local and international freight, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Warehouse and Shipment Management : Supervise inventory management, assist with route planning, and oversee the processing of shipments.
  • Inventory Control : Implement strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and ensure accuracy through audits and continuous process improvement.
  • Issue Escalation : Address and escalate any issues related to delivery delays, damages, or other operational concerns.
  • Team Leadership : Lead, coach, and develop a productive logistics team.
  • Customer Focus : Maintain and nurture relationships with key customers, ensuring their logistics and delivery requirements are met.
  • Sustainable Logistics : Develop strategies to reduce the environmental impact of logistics operations in line with sustainability goals.
  • Performance Management : Ensure logistics operations meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting : Track performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Cross-Department Support : Assist with additional duties as required to support other teams in achieving business objectives.
  • System and Documentation : Ensure all logistics activities are documented accurately and resolved in a timely manner in relevant systems (e.g., NetSuite).

Key Performance Indicators :

  • Ensure all items required for project delivery are prepared and shipped on time.
  • Guarantee correct packaging, labeling, and loading for transport, especially for special or international shipments.
  • Consistently select cost-effective, reliable freight solutions.
  • Maintain high standards for documentation and quality control.

Key Relationships :

  • Internal : GM Supply Chain, Project Delivery Manager, Sales Team, Production Team, Support Staff.
  • External : Contractors, Suppliers, Freight and Delivery Companies.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Qualifications : Diploma of Logistics or Degree in Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience : Proven experience as a Logistics Manager with a successful track record in distribution and logistics management.
  • Skills : Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), strong leadership, good communication (written and verbal), drivers' license, forklift license.
