Owen Payne Recruitment is excited to be recruiting for a Logistics Manager

to work for our client based in the Aldridge area. This position is with a specialist manufacturer dedicated to the supply of special fasteners and hot forged bolting.

Our client is looking for someone who wants to build their career or take the next step. This exciting position is permanent from day one!

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Thursday – 08:30-17:30
• Friday 08:00-16:00

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing Goods Inwards, Goods Outwards, and the Logistics Team.
• Understanding all processes within both departments.
• Meeting daily targets based on work-to-lists.
• Driver and vehicle management, including forklift operations.
• Managing inventory, including parts, working materials, pallets, and packing materials.
• Proficient in export and shipping requirements.
• Ensuring all products are packed according to procedures.
• Raising internal NCRs when necessary.
• Creating purchase orders for NDT, heat treatment, and plating.
• Handling goods going out for and returning from NDT, heat treatment, and plating.
• Expediting processes that are delayed, and communicating with managers to get back on track.
• Identifying potential bottlenecks and proposing solutions.
• Building relationships with suppliers to improve quality and reduce costs.
• Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed by both departments.
• Willingness to undertake reasonable overtime as required.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing logistics, warehouse, and team management.
• Experience in a specialist manufacturer for fasteners and bolting is advantageous but not required.
• 24 days of annual leave plus statutory holidays.
• Additional holiday days awarded at years 5, 7, and 10.
