We are looking for a Logistics Manager to join our team in Bristol.

As aLogistics Manager,you will be responsible for the transport function, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective fulfilment of all customer requirements. This is a critical leadership role within a high-performing site, and we are looking for someone with the strategic insight and agility to elevate our transport team to the next level.

Role Details

Salary: up to 62k DOE+ Bonus & Benefits

Hours: 37.5 per week

Working pattern: Monday to Friday

Location: Gist Ltd, Short Way, Bristol, BS35 3UT

What You’ll Do

Your key accountabilities will include:

• You will plan and deliver all operations transport activities through your team of Transport Operations Manager and Transport Shift Managers, to ensure the required level of service is provided
• Provide strategic direction and contribute to site-level planning by anticipating future needs and aligning transport operations accordingly
• Champion a culture of Continuous Improvement, driving efficiencies and embedding best practice across the function
• Effectively motivate, manage and inspire your team to develop and grow the skills of their team
• Build strong partnerships with M&S and our customers to exceed productivity, accuracy, and cost targets
  
  

Who You Are

Your skills and experience will include:

• Experience of working in a large, complex transport function - ideally within temperature controlled/FMCG distribution
• A strategic thinker with a strong track record of delivering operational improvements and managing transformation
• Proven ability to lead through change and maintain high performance during periods of uncertainty
• A passion for developing people and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation
• CPC License
• Excellent customer relationship-building skills
• Strong commercial awareness
• An analytical mindset with a good understanding of reporting and recording performance statistics
• Relevant transport management systems knowledge
• Flexibility to work within a fast-paced 24/7 business
