Job Summary

Modality LLP is a large-scale provider of NHS Outpatient Services, renowned for its innovative approach to delivering efficient pathways for patients requiring specialist care, leading to high quality patient outcomes. We work in partnership with a number of hospitals across the country to collaboratively redesign outpatient services with more care being delivered in community settings.

We are recruiting a Logistics Manager who will play a crucial role in leading the day-to-day logistics of our mobile scanning services in a safe and efficient manner.

Main duties of the job

You will deliver an effective and efficient logistics function for Modality LLP, overseeing MRI scanners based at a range of sites across the UK. You will also be responsible for the upkeep and compliance of Modality LLP MRI scanners for staff and patients, including the management of any improvement work required to scanners.

An essential requirement of this role is the ability and willingness to travel between sites.

As part of recruitment to the Modality LLP, we will be checking the vaccination status of all new starters so that we can manage individual and environmental risks. We will offer support to those who may be undecided about vaccinations. Person Specification

Knowledge Essential

  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with experience in a logistics management Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) license
  • Necessary classifications on license for the vehicles to be operated
  • A valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card
  • Have a clean driving record with no major endorsements
  • Experience of working in a healthcare environment in a similar capacity, preferably within Primary or Secondary Care
  • Experience of driving and maintaining mobile MRI scanning units

Skills Essential

  • Strong knowledge of the Highway Code and road safety regulations
  • Experience with GPS navigation, mapping, and route planning
  • Ability to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device
  • Good communication skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Good customer service skills, especially when dealing with patients
  • Physical fitness for getting in and out of vehicles and loading and unloading
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure

Personal Qualities Essential

  • Flexible can do attitude with a confident, friendly and approachable manner
  • Able to work autonomously and take direction and feedback
  • To confidently deal with complex issues including effective negotiation and influencing skills and escalate to the appropriate person/forum accordingly
  • Creative approach to work
  • Understand the importance of delivering mobile imaging units to patients
  • Be able to transport medical trailers to and from various destinations
