Job Title: Logistics Junior Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Junior Assistant to support our logistics manager and team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to start their career in logistics and gain valuable hands-on experience in transportation, shipment, and delivery. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently and accurately. The role may involve travelling around the UK for material collection or loading of freight, with all associated travel costs covered.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with coordinating and tracking shipments both inbound and outbound
  2. Support with inventory checks, stock control, and data entry into the system
  3. Liaise with couriers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries
  4. Help prepare shipping and customs documentation
  5. Update and maintain logistics databases and spreadsheets
  6. Assist with tasks such as labelling, packing, and organizing materials
  7. Monitor delivery schedules and notify the team of any delays or issues
  8. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards at all times

Requirements:

  • Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent; logistics or business qualification is a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is an advantage but not essential
  • Driving license to travel to Felixstowe
