Job summary

Zachary Daniels in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to own the flow of products from international suppliers through to customers, overseeing logistics, freight, stock and warehouse operations.

The role combines hands-on operation with strategic growth, offering the chance to shape processes, scale the operation and work closely with senior leadership in a fast-growing SME. 35 hours per week, on-site, with benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing logistics and/or warehouse operations.
• Strong international freight and import experience.
• Experience leading teams and external suppliers.
• Good understanding of stock and inventory management.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills.
• Hands-on, proactive approach to problem solving.
• Experience improving processes, systems and operational performance.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced SME and shape scale-up operations.

Responsibilities

• Own flow of products from international suppliers through to customers, overseeing logistics, freight, stock, fulfilment and warehouse operations.
• Manage international inbound freight, freight forwarders, suppliers and 3PL/fulfilment partners.
• Lead day-to-day warehouse operation and team.
• Improve stock accuracy, inventory control and operational visibility.
• Manage warehouse capacity, layouts, productivity and resource planning.
• Introduce and improve KPIs around service, capacity, throughput and lead times.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting.
• Support decisions around future warehouse capacity and potential 3PL solutions.
• Handle operational issues, delays and exceptions through to resolution.
• Work with senior leadership to support growth.
