Job description

Do you have a passion for road logistics? Imagine working for one of the world’s leading logistics companies, where your expertise can make a global impact. Join us in our East Midlands Gateway office.

Your Role

You will work within the Road logistics healthcare operational team, handling road logistics shipments for healthcare customers. Your responsibilities will include ensuring all operational duties and functions adhere to customer-specific working instructions and standard operating procedures, ensuring excellence in road freight import, export, cross-trade, and domestic distribution operations.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Request and negotiate rates with hauliers to secure the best prices and solutions quickly for spot quotations.
  2. Provide competitive quotations for effective solutions in a timely manner to customer services, and directly to customers when appropriate, utilizing our haulier base and network.
  3. Request and negotiate rates with hauliers for set lane quotations, awarding business to hauliers when the business is secured.
  4. Ensure transport planning is completed and pass correct details to the relevant warehouse teams – EMG/HSCC/Chapeltown/Partner warehouses.
  5. Create manifests in QCL to send to hauliers, ensuring all details are received and correct prior to sending.
  6. Work closely with Kuehne+Nagel European healthcare offices to arrange groupage shipments.
  7. Book collections and deliveries as required.
Your Skills and Experiences
  1. Experience in quotations and negotiations.
  2. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  3. Previous experience in logistics is advantageous.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
