Overview

Logistics Coordinator

Location: Stockton-on-Tees

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum plus bonus

Hours: Monday – Friday 09:00am – 17:00pm

Type: Permanent

Imperial Professionals are working exclusively with a global organisation based in Teesside who are looking to appoint a Logistics Coordinator on a full-time permanent basis.

Duties
  • Planning shipments based on product availability and customer requests
  • Process and create necessary documentation, i.e. COO, SASO etc. for destination purposes
  • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal and external systems and databases
  • Keep track of freight, warehouse, transport and supply management systems
  • Keep track of quality, warranty, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints in a timely manner
  • Keep internal and external customers updated on progress relating to their orders and deliveries from start to finish
  • Prioritise own workload and demand against the business targets
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
  • Review, maintain and identify improvement and efficiency of logistics processes
  • Maintain a good relationship with our current forwarders whilst also creating new relationships with future suppliers
  • Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Meet measurable KPI targets
  • Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements
  • Actively live and instil our company values: customer centric, appreciation, integrity, reliability, respect, responsibility.
  • Ensure the delivery of quality customer service
  • Follow health, safety and environmental guidelines and procedures in respect of personal and department activities.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities when requested
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a customer service or business to business role and delivering excellent standards of service
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a Logistic specific environment or role
  • Knowledge of specific documentation required for international transport
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent ability to work accurately and with attention to detail
