Logistics Coordinator

Location: Colnbrook

Salary: £26,000 per annum

We’re currently seeking a proactive and highly organised Logistics Coordinator to join our busy operations team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you'll be at the heart of a team responsible for managing over 200 calls a day and allocating up to 1,100 collection jobs to a fleet of 35 drivers across London, Birmingham, and Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous transport or logistics coordination experience who thrives under pressure and enjoys working in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate regular and ad-hoc collections to the drivers across multiple regions
  • Manage driver rounds, including reallocation to contractors to cover sickness and holidays
  • Monitor and check off all allocated work via internal and external systems
  • Support customers by providing courier bags, mailbags, and waybills as needed
  • Sign for incoming packages and notify recipients promptly
  • Use a forklift truck to load/unload vans and lorries (if licensed)
  • Liaise daily with Customer Services, Sales, Logistics, and Operations teams to ensure all collections and deliveries meet service expectations

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a transport, courier, or logistics environment
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Good geographical knowledge of London, Bristol, Birmingham, and surrounding areas
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills
  • Flexibility to cover shifts as required - including later shifts (e.g. 1pm-9pm) to cover holidays
