Job description

Role Purpose

We’re looking for a detail-driven Logistics Coordinator to lead and streamline the movement of vital research materials, samples, and commercial goods across global locations. You’ll support both research and commercial arms of the business, ensuring everything moves safely, on time, and in compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of biological samples, research materials, and goods.
  • Prepare and manage documentation (e.g., phytosanitary certificates, CMRs, DGNs).
  • Track key logistics metrics like delivery times, costs, and customs clearance.
  • Liaise with carriers, customs, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
  • Keep accurate records of shipments, inventory, and costs.
  • Support inventory alignment across R&D and Commercial schedules.
  • Help evaluate vendors and benchmark logistics costs.
  • Contribute to process improvements and ensure trade compliance.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field or 2 - 4 years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination.
  • IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) certification is required.
  • Experience with international shipping, customs documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Spanish speaking would be beneficial.

Technical Know-How

  • Understanding of agricultural or biological supply chains would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and logistics platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Knowledge of customs documentation, incoterms, and hazardous goods handling.

  • Excellent organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proactive problem-solver able to navigate evolving regulatory requirements and tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently while escalating critical issues when necessary.
