Job description

Our client is a Luxury business, who has seen phenomenal growth over recent years. They’re looking to strengthen their operational functions and they are now looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team.

Based in their London office, they are looking for someone who has experience within global shipping who can come in and hit the ground running.

You must be someone who understands the end-to-end logistics process, both inbound and outbound shipments globally.

It is an exciting opportunity for someone to come in and hit the ground running, and for someone to make this role their own.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Working within the team, work through all inbound and outbound shipments from factories through to the clients, to ensure the delivery schedules are on time
  • Monitor all planned PO schedules for shipment, highlighting any issues or potential delays to the senior management team
  • An understanding and knowledge of working with 3PL and transport partners, ensuring all correct documentation and packaging details accompany each shipment as required
  • Making all relevant shipment bookings with the suppliers, freight forwarders and 3PL’s
  • Working closely with finance on any credit / debit notes required
  • Management of all relevant shipping paperwork, including commercial invoices, Packing Lists and B/L, ensuring all relevant customs regulations are met
  • System Management (Zedonk) – ensuring all details are inputted and any stock reconciliation is made
  • Build up strong working relationships with suppliers and external transport and courier companies
  • Manage all small couriers, re-negotiating costs and prices with freight forwarders and couriers as required

Our client is looking for someone who:

  • Proven experience in a logistics role, with experience of working on global movement of stock.
  • Strong knowledge of shipment and import / export documentation required, including customs clearance and varying shipment regulations globally.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team, in an adaptable and fluid manner. Have a strong work ethic, with a hands-on approach
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to build strong working relationships, both internally and externally with freight forwarders, 3PL’s and couriers.
  • Excellent Microsoft skills and IT skills, including excel
  • Strong communication skills coupled with a positive can-do attitude.
  • A lateral thinker with a positive approach to problem solving and seeking solutions.
  • Have a high level of attention to detail, be numerate and analytical
  • Strong all-round IT skills, ideally with experience of using Zedonk
