At Proactive Personnel, our successful client are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Logistics Co-ordinator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding who is looking to build a long-term career in logistics. Strong Microsoft Excel and Customer Service skills are essential for this role.

To achieve the upper end of the salary range the successful candidate would need proven experience in freight forwarding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day logistics and transport operations
  • Schedule and track shipments, ensuring timely deliveries
  • Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Excel and internal systems
  • Support with customs, import/export documentation and compliance
  • Respond to queries from customers and suppliers in a professional manner

Requirements

  • Previous experience in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, or a similar supply chain environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data entry, formulas, spreadsheets)
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
