Job Description

Join our proactive team at LGC as a Logistics Coordinator. Contribute to our success in the consumer goods industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and detail shipments and materials to ensure flawless processing
  • Pack goods in line with shipping instructions and regulations to achieve world-class standards
  • Maintain inventory of consumables and raise purchase requisitions to keep our operations running efficiently
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, adhering strictly to safety protocols
  • Pick and issue materials for requisitions and transport tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure goods are stored according to EHS and temperature requirements, maintaining the integrity of our products
  • Maintain accurate records in the ERP system, contributing to our outstanding operational efficiency
  • Support stock takes and internal audits, helping us maintain our proven track record of accuracy
  • Assist with shipping, including temperature-sensitive and dangerous goods, adhering to all regulations
  • Supervise temperature-controlled areas and conduct defrosting cycles, ensuring efficient storage conditions
  • Contribute to SOP development and warehouse documentation, continuously improving our processes
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment, encouraging a positive and productive workplace
  • Provide administrative support to the wider commercial team as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork

Qualifications

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring flawless execution of tasks
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, allowing you to prioritise and complete tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, facilitating effective collaboration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, enabling you to manage documentation efficiently
  • Experience with ERP systems and shipping platforms preferred, giving you a head start in our tech-savvy environment
  • Familiarity with Dangerous Goods handling and IATA certification, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach, contributing to our inclusive and encouraging work culture
