Logistics Coordinator

Alexander Steele is partnering with a leading food manufacturing business experiencing significant growth. They are seeking a highly organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join their expanding team. Reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of food products to customers across the UK and overseas. This is a varied role where attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential, as you will be the link between production sites, transport providers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all export documentation to guarantee compliance with international requirements, including Export Declarations, Health Certificates, and Certificates of Inspection.
  • Monitor daily production schedules and proactively adjust plans as needed to keep orders on track.
  • Liaise daily with transport companies, resolving any dispatch or delivery issues swiftly and professionally.
  • Investigate and resolve any stock or order discrepancies with internal teams and logistics partners.
  • Reconcile daily orders and invoices, ensuring accurate posting to accounts systems.
  • Provide a reliable point of contact for customers, maintaining confidence through clear and timely updates.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous logistics or supply chain experience within the food industry (or a similar fast-paced sector).
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
