Job description

The Logistics Coordinator will be primarily responsible for the delivery of the goods in and logistics support functions at Agilent Harwell, ensuring exceptional client interaction. The individual will work with the Facilities Manager and site team ensuring a consistent and smooth delivery. They will also be multi-skilled to meet the wide and varied requirement of the role.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Primary focus on delivery of all Goods in Operations SLA’s in accordance with KPI & Output measurements
  2. Provide cover for business logistics function
  3. Co-ordinate with FM Operations and Critical Service teams to deliver service level agreements
  4. Comply with HSE requirements as outlined within the SLA and as instructed by the company policy
  5. Act as a part of site Emergency team i.e., Fire Marshall, as required for emergency control activities
  6. Report all accidents, occupational illnesses, and emergencies in relevant books/documentation
  7. Carry out Mail Room activities as required
  8. Monitor and maintain packaging and consumable levels
  9. Co-ordinate site waste and recycling arrangements
  10. Take ownership and understand customer requirements and be able to demonstrate the ability to close out concerns and ensure customer is kept appraised at all times
  11. Provide and arrange cover for the FM team as defined by line management
  12. Back fill for Receptionist when required to support contract requirement.
  13. Be part of the keyholding team for the site

Strong customer services skills and experience within a high profile environment. Present a self-image of confidence and authority to enable effective customer service delivery. Ability to deliver goods in and logistics related items. Experience of operating within a Customer Service environment providing services to the highest standard.

At a formal level the job holder will be charged with a number of Customer Service/relationship objectives including all goods in and logistics related issues as part of their annual appraisal and development plan. At an informal level the individual will be encouraged to actively participate in the customer service and wider FM team to drive continuous improvement.
