Job description

Our client is looking for a number of Logistics Brokers to join their expanding team.


Main Duties:
  1. Resource / allocate loads on a daily basis achieving best possible margin.
  2. Ensure deliveries are scheduled on time and in line with customer expectations.
  3. Proactively look for other work through various trading platforms in use at X2.
  4. Engage with new and existing customers to drive repeat business.
  5. Maintain regular contact with X2 haulier base to ensure continuous supply.
  6. Monitor delivery performance and notify customers with any delays.
  7. Work to set targets in line with operational KPI's.
  8. Ensure all information is accurate and up to date within TMS (Mandata).
  9. Duty on call on a rota basis.
Skills / Experience:
  1. Be fully PC literate with knowledge of common Microsoft systems and aptitude to quickly learn other transport management systems.
  2. Extensive experience in negotiating transport rates with subcontractors.
  3. Be fully conversant with the legislation around driver's hours, vehicles and Working Time directive.
  4. A detailed knowledge of the transport & General Haulage market across the UK.
  5. Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
  6. Excellent telephone skills.
