Job description

Connect Appointments are recruiting for our Bathgate based logistics client. We're seeking individuals to get started as Logistics Assistants on the back shift team. This is a fantastic opportunity for long-term work with permanent potential for the right candidates.

What's on offer?

  • Full-time, ongoing work with a chance of permanent employment
  • Weekly shifts based on rota requirements - working hours are 12pm to 7/8pm
  • Paid weekly at £12.38 per hour
  • Full training provided, and immediate starts available

Working as a Logistics Assistant, you will be operating within the produce department which is kept at a low temperature - but full PPE is provided. With your duties including:

  • Using MHE (Manual Handling Equipment) to move stock
  • Handling incoming deliveries and goods-in processes
  • Loading/unloading produce in chilled storage areas
  • Performing basic admin tasks related to bookings and goods-in records
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards

To be successful in this Logistics Assistant role you will have:

  • Great attention to detail
  • Good computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Experience with proof of deliveries and working with external suppliers - NOT ESSENTIAL
