Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Logistics & Supply Chain Manager on a fixed 12-month contract to operate and optimise our supply chain operations. This role would suit someone looking to step up from a junior logistics/warehouse role into a wider ranging, senior role. The ideal candidate will possess a background in logistics management, process improvement, and supply chain management. They will also have responsibility for our warehouse and stock management so a basic knowledge of warehouse management and stock control will be required.

About Us

The Waiter’s Friend Company is a business supplying premium, customised drinks accessories into the UK trade. As a small, dynamic team, everyone gains insight across the business and occasionally supports other areas, providing valuable experience and daily variety. We are based out of a rural office in Northamptonshire where we hold our stock and perform customisation services. We are based on a relatively quiet farm, so if you enjoy a lunchtime walk to a high street, this role may not be for you!

Duties
  • Manage logistics operations, ensuring timely delivery of products while maintaining quality standards.
  • Utilise Cin7 (no need to have used this specific software before) for inventory management and order processing.
  • Communicate with European suppliers to ensure POs are accurate and timely.
  • Stock control - basic warehouse management, some physical work will be required.
  • Analyse data using Excel and Cin7 to inform decision-making and drive process improvements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of supply chain operations.
Desired Qualities
  • Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management roles.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Advantages - experience in Adobe Illustrator and/or flatbed printing would be put the applicant in a strong position.
Hours/Workplace Environment
  • Monday – Friday, 8am - 4pm
  • Casual dress, suitable for a warehouse environment
  • Salary - £27-29k experience dependent
Timeline
  • Start date - 17th November 2025
  • Interviews - 1st stage phone, 2nd stage in person - September/early October
