Job description

Hiring: Logistics Analytics & Optimisation Lead

Location: Belfast ideally however UK considered

Industry: Global Logistics & Supply Chain

New hires frequently describe the team as “welcoming” and highlight how easy it is to communicate across roles and regions. Their balance of purpose, culture, flexibility, and growth is what they believe sets them apart for any potential employee.

I'm currently looking for a data-driven logistics professional with strong analytical skills to join our telecoms client who are a high-performing global logistics team in a leadership role focused on analytics, process improvement, and cost optimisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on turning data into insights, driving efficiency, and leading strategic initiatives that impact global operations.

Our client offers hybrid/remote work options and focuses more on results than on hours spent in an office. Surveys show that 91% of employees are satisfied with choice over when and where they work, and they also offer uncapped flexible PTO, trusting employees to manage their time responsibly

Key Responsibilities:

Lead data-driven initiatives to optimise global logistics operations and reduce costs while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Analyse shipment routing, service levels, carrier performance, and cost metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.

Collaborate cross-functionally with regional logistics teams, procurement, finance, and external partners.

Oversee freight audit and payment processes, develop controls, and propose automation solutions to streamline operations.

Design and build Power BI dashboards and performance metrics to support operational transparency and drive performance improvement.

Prepare executive-level reports and participate in business reviews with stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate:

Strong background in data analytics, Power BI, Excel (expert level), and project management.

Self-starter with strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills.

Experienced in working cross-functionally with finance, procurement, AP, and logistics providers.

If you are ready to take on a high-impact role in a dynamic global environment we would love to hear from you.
