Job description

Our client, a privately owned company specializing in logistics services, is seeking an experienced Logistics & Planning Coordinator. The role's primary purpose is to assist management in maximizing the company's profitability by performing various logistics functions in line with company policies and customer expectations.

Principal Job Responsibilities:
  1. Freight Operations:
    • Taking bookings for shipments
    • Arranging suitable transportation according to customer requirements
    • Monitoring shipments until final destination
    • Managing warehouse planning, operations, resources, and customs
    • Liaising with overseas offices in Belgium, St Petersburg, and Finland
    • Raising non-conformities against subcontractors and maintaining records
    • Logging customer complaints and ensuring their resolution
    • Reporting customer feedback to the General Manager
  2. Ensure new suppliers receive the supplier questionnaire and inform the Quality Representative of any changes
  3. Documentation Management:
    • Completing all necessary documentation for shipments
    • Using approved forms and templates
    • Adhering to operational procedures aligned with the Quality system
  4. Ensure sales invoices are raised on the day of loading and purchase invoices are processed for payment
  5. Maintain good working relationships and possess knowledge of logistics or freight forwarding
  6. Manage administrative tasks related to accounts, including job profit analysis on a monthly basis
