Position Overview

Ithaca Energy is accepting applications for the position of Logistics Advisor, located in our Aberdeen Office.

The Logistics Advisor provides support to the Logistics Manager to aid implementation of the services delivered to the company operations ensuring they are safe, cost effective and delivered in a timely manner.

The Logistics Advisor will also provide cover for the Logistics Manager during periods of leave to ensure consistency in logistics activity, whilst ensuring good business practises and the highest ethical standards are adhered to all times.

Responsibilities

  • Support Logistics Oversight and help provide coordination to all UK assets with respect to logistics priorities and support requirements for the activities.
  • Support the management of contractual relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders to ensure the most effective and innovative contracting strategies are developed to maximise value.
  • Act as the focal point for logistics requirements to ensure that all commercial/business undertakings are put in place on the most cost-effective and minimal risk basis and in accordance the appropriate procedures
  • Provide advice and guidance to onshore and offshore teams/departments on logistics issues, whilst ensuring standardisation across the assets.
  • Participate in the tendering, evaluation and negotiation process in relation to the award of services agreements in relation to the logistics requirements and make recommendations to management.
  • Maintain strong market knowledge of logistics initiatives and strategies. Work with other operators to maximise leverage and knowledge sharing opportunities.
  • Ensure commercial and contractual risk is considered in all technical documentation and that the company is not exposed to undue contractual risk.
  • Develop strategies for continuous improvement, value creation and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Undertake visits to offshore installations/vessels, project sites and contractor bases/worksites.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Requires in depth knowledge of the oil & gas industry.
  • Strong ability to motivate, persuade and influence others (internally and externally)
  • Up to date knowledge of Industry and Regulatory practices
  • Relevant vocational qualification or significant related logistics experience.
  • Appropriate experience from a relevant field/ discipline, with supervisory experience.
  • BOSIET & MIST training desirable
