Job description

We currently offer the fantastic opportunity of Logistics Administrator on behalf of a leading Fresh Produce supplier, who source Fresh Produce from around the World and supply key retail customers.

The position of Logistics Administrator will work in an imperative position to manage the import process and ensure accurate maintenance of shipment advice and stock positions. This position is fundamental to the efficient supply of product and will incorporate the following responsibilities:

  1. Supplier contact; to organise & ensure accurate delivery planning/programs & customs clearance
  2. Daily and weekly administration of key Logistic processes and functions
  3. Haulage & Transport management; booking, invoicing, authorising payments, etc.
  4. Maintain and supply accurate ETA’s, stock, and availability information
  5. Successful relationship building with suppliers is key
  6. Checking Import documentation

We require:

  1. Experience gained within logistics, shipping, freight, ideally gained within Fresh Food / Fresh Produce
  2. Knowledge of fresh produce product supply to retail customers advantageous
  3. Attention to detail & precise numeracy ability
  4. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  5. Exceptional administrative skills

Location: Kent
Hours: Wednesday to Sunday working week; 40 hour week
Salary: £28-30k / dependent on experience offered
