Key Responsibilities
Duties

As a Logistics Administrator, you will be an integral part of a team of three, reporting to the Export & Logistics Manager within the Supply Chain department. Your main duties will include:

  • Coordinating Import and Export Logistics: Ensure smooth and efficient movement of goods.
  • Managing Transport Bookings: Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and brokers to optimise logistics solutions.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records for shipments, including invoices, customs declarations, and compliance documents - full training will be provided on export paperwork.
  • Metrics Monitoring: Track and report on key logistics metrics, identifying challenges and implementing efficiency improvements.
  • Compliance Support: Assist in audits by adhering to import/export regulations and internal policies.
  • Cost Analysis: Support budget optimisation and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Benchmarking: Conduct exercises to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Strategic Input: Represent the Logistics Team in key meetings, providing insights and strategic input.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Administrative Experience: Solid background in an administrative role.
  • Logistics Knowledge: Experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, shipping, or international trade is advantageous.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial reporting and strong Excel skills.
  • Essential Skills: Good literacy, numeracy, and geography.
  • Training Ambition: Willingness to complete training in International Trade, including compliance, classification, valuation, origin & preference, Incoterms, and import/export procedures.
