Job Title: Logistics Administrator

Salary: £24,637.57 per annum

Location: HMS Collingwood, Stores - CERES Building, Newgate Lane, Fareham, Hampshire, England, PO14 1AS

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an experienced and versatile team dedicated to delivering first-class services to our world-class Armed Forces personnel. Based primarily in an office/storeroom environment at HMS Collingwood, the successful candidate will take on a customer-focused Stores Administrator role, supporting the military community by ensuring the efficient control and availability of stored items. Training will be provided where appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Raise purchase orders using the Contracting, Processing & Finance (CP&F) system and demanding specialist equipment using the Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI) stores accounting application.
  • Use systems specific to the role; full training will be provided if required.
  • Support the wider business with purchase order queries, assist with obtaining quotes, and finalise purchase requisitions for indirect materials.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, suppliers, and users to ensure smooth purchasing processes and business operations.
  • Accurately monitor and record purchase transactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders, promoting a culture of customer service excellence.
  • Adhere to health and safety compliance and safe working practices.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Line Manager, including leading changes to meet emerging business needs.
Qualifications
  • Well-organised, precise and confident with excellent communication skills; able to contribute effectively at all levels.
  • Versatile, intuitive, professional with good judgement and integrity; proactive, calm, and self-motivated.
  • Reliable, presentable, and a strong ambassador of MITIE's values.
  • Proven experience in a warehouse or stores environment; IT literate with solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven track record in delivering quality, customer-facing services; able to adapt to last-minute changes and meet tight deadlines.
  • Education: good standard, ideally English and Mathematics at grade C or equivalent.
  • Role may involve local travel to provide cover at other sites.
  • Experience with the MOD's MJDI system is desirable; training can be provided for the right candidate.
Additional Information
  • MOD security clearance and DBS Standard required. To meet national security vetting requirements, you will normally need to have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years to gain a Counter Terrorist Check, 5 years for Security Clearance and 10 years for Developed Vetting prior to the date of application. All Developed Vetted posts are required to be UK Nationals.
  • Proof of right to work in UK essential.
  • The Contract operates a 37.5 hour working week between 07:30 and 17:00, Monday to Friday only.
  • Required to wear approved company work wear.
