Logistics Administrator


Salary: £24500


Hours: Monday - Friday rotating shift of 08:00 - 16:00 and 10:00 - 18:00


Location: Coventry

Our client, a leading organisation in the industry, is seeking not one, but TWO talented Logistics Administrators to join their team. If you're ready to take on a challenging role that involves coordinating shipments across the globe, then keep reading!


Job Purpose:


As a Logistics Administrator, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and timely shipment of manufactured products worldwide. With your excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, you will prioritise and coordinate orders, create electronic manifests, produce shipping labels, and communicate with external transport companies to ensure deliveries reach their destinations as planned.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Assess and prioritise daily shipments for efficient packing and readiness
  2. Generate electronic manifests to provide shipping companies with vital information
  3. Coordinate and plan with internal sales and scheduling teams
  4. Obtain quotations for express shipments, optimising cost and service
  5. Analyse and communicate information flow to support customer credit and returns processes
  6. Monitor vehicle usage and strive for cost-efficiency
  7. Stay informed about customs regulations and report any changes
  8. Support RF scanning and ensure on-time shipping according to departmental plans
  9. Collaborate with a diverse and supportive team to ensure organisational excellence

Desired Qualifications and Experience:


  1. Understanding of logistics and shipping systems
  2. Proficiency in English (additional language skills, e.g., French, German, or Spanish, would be an advantage)
  3. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
