A leading company in the water and wastewater industry is seeking a Logistics Desk Planner to manage logistics operations in Kemble Court, Reading. A Logistics Desk Planner is responsible for the scheduling, dispatch, and completion of Logistics Management Centre (LMC/LOCC) activities, including tankering and hire equipment for both clean and waste wholesale operations. The LMC team aims to deliver the highest levels of customer service, applying trust, ease, and care to ensure a first-class customer experience for both internal and external customers.
The role involves working on a 12-hour shift pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off, 3 nights, 7 days off, 3 days on, 4 nights, and 13 days off, starting on a Friday.
Your role will be part of the Logistics Management Centre, which is the in-house centre of excellence for the company's complex logistics functions. You will work within a cross-functional team that balances operational demand and strategic thinking, influencing decisions up to senior management and helping shape daily operations and future strategies.
