Overview

About the Role. An exciting opportunity for a dynamic Logistics Assistant Manager to join a growing organisation. This pivotal role supports the Logistics Manager in ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the logistics operation, including supervising team members, optimising processes, and maintaining high standards across all logistics activities.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to oversee daily team operations, including task delegation and performance monitoring to maintain optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Support onboarding and continuous training of new team members to ensure a highly skilled and knowledgeable workforce.
  • Evaluate existing processes to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to enhance operational effectiveness and productivity.
  • Act as a communication bridge between departments to address issues quickly and ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage online accounts and respond promptly to internal and external enquiries.
  • Maintain critical background data, including promotional and locational information, and communicate updates to relevant teams.
  • Work with key stakeholders across functions such as supply chain, buying, merchandising, and data analysis on cross-functional projects.
  • Oversee the setup process for new locations, including gathering and sharing information with relevant teams and maintaining collaborative tools.
  • Review and maintain key data within internal systems to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Use data retrieval tools to monitor stock levels, delivery performance, and order tracking.
  • Analyse departmental key performance indicators (KPIs), including availability and inventory levels.
  • Generate and manage reports to support daily operations, decision-making, and performance evaluation.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with SQL or similar programming languages (desirable).
  • Degree in a business-related subject (desirable, but full training provided).
  • Previous management or supervisory experience (desirable).
  • Experience in analytical or data-driven roles (desirable).
  • Strong ability to interpret data and act on insights.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Effective workload management and ability to work under pressure.
