Job summary

CCS is seeking a Loft Insulation Installer to install loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, and related works in residential properties. You will carry out remedial tasks, ensure compliance with PAS 2035 and manufacturer guidelines, and maintain high quality energy efficiency improvements.

You will coordinate with residents, meet appointments, and document work using handheld devices and back-office systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential property insulation installations.
• Clean UK driving licence and DBS check required.
• Familiarity with mobile handheld devices for job tracking (PDA).

Responsibilities

• Install loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, internal wall insulation, and basic ventilation works.
• Conduct remedial and minor works as required before installations.
• Ensure installations comply with PAS 2035 and manufacturer guidelines.
• Submit accurate timesheets, delivery notes, and expenses weekly.
• Stock van with materials and ensure supplies are ready for installations.
• Engage with residents/clients and keep them informed throughout the works.

Job Purpose

As a Loft Insulation Installer, you will be responsible for installing fabric insulation, carrying out remedial works, and ensuring high-quality energy efficiency improvements to clients’ properties. You will work in compliance with industry standards (PAS 2035) and manufacturer guidelines, while conducting yourself professionally at all times as a representative of CCS.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Installation & Maintenance:

• Install loft insulation, cavity wall extractions, cavity wall insulation, internal wall insulation, and basic ventilation works.
• Conduct remedial and minor works as required before installations.
• Ensure installations comply with PAS 2035 and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain job time frames and uphold CCS quality and safety standards.
• Stock company van with materials and ensure supplies are ready for installations.
• Customer & Client Liaison:
• Engage with residents and clients, ensuring clear communication about ongoing works.
• Ensure all appointments are met, keeping clients informed throughout the process.
• Maintain professionalism and respect in all customer interaction.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Clear jobs from handheld devices and back-office systems upon completion.
• Submit accurate and timely timesheets, delivery notes, expenses, and any other required documentation weekly.
• Report any changes or variations to work requirements to the administration team.
• Produce certificates, job sheets, and other necessary reports for completed works.
• Attend staff briefings and company meetings as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

• General competence in insulation installation or hands-on trade experience.
• NVQ Level 2 loft installer (preferred).
• Experience in building fabric and insulation works.
• Strong punctuality, professionalism, and flexibility.
• Familiarity with mobile PDA devices for job tracking.

Experience Required:

• Experience in residential property insulation installations.
• Experience working directly with residents and clients.
• A clean UK driving licence and DBS check will be required.
