Un hôpital Trust dynamique du NHS recherche un Consultant Locum en Chirurgie Traumatologique et Orthopédique, spécialisé dans le traitement des conditions du pied et de la cheville. Ce poste est initialement prévu pour 12 mois, avec la possibilité de devenir permanent. Le candidat devra être capable de contribuer à un système de soins complet et de participer activement à la formation et à la gestion des cas. Le candidat travaillera sur deux sites pour offrir des soins électifs et traumatiques.
Applications are invited for a full-time Locum Consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery with special interest in Foot & Ankle surgery to join a dynamic team of Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons. This post is initially for a period of 12 months with a possibility of leading to a permanent position for the right candidate.
Candidates will need to show evidence of specialist training in Foot & Ankle surgery. It is desirable that the selected candidate increase the skill mix within the current unit. The candidate must also be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience of treating foot & ankle conditions, both elective and trauma, as well as be competent in general non-specialist trauma as they will participate in the general on-call rota.
The successful applicant will be expected to work across both our sites at the Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother Hospital, Margate as well as the Kent and Canterbury Hospital, Canterbury. The job plan for the post will include cross cover for elective activity to minimise disruption to elective theatre provision when colleagues are away. There may be an opportunity for additional appropriately remunerated week-end elective activity.
The successful candidate will have a special interest in Foot & Ankle surgery. The Orthopaedic Department operates across two sites, with your primary location for on-call and trauma surgery being Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother Hospital, Margate, Kent. Elective care takes place at Kent & Canterbury Hospital. Duties include fracture clinics, trauma lists and the successful candidate will be expected to take a full part in the trauma rota dealing with a broad mix of trauma including with multiply injured patients. They will also contribute to the general work of the department including a strong teaching commitment, clinical management and effective team working.
