Job summary

NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Locum Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry to join a dynamic mental health team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality psychiatric care across inpatient, community, and crisis services, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities include conducting psychiatric assessments, forming management plans, and participating in ward rounds, clinics, and multidisciplinary meetings.

Qualifications

• Valid GMC Registration with Licence to Practise.
• Section 12 Approval (Essential).
• Previous NHS Psychiatry experience.
• Sound knowledge of Mental Health Act legislation.
• Excellent clinical judgement and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and formulate management plans.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions.
• Participate in ward rounds, clinics, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Undertake Mental Health Act assessments where appropriate.
• Provide advice and support to junior medical staff and allied healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with NHS standards.
• Ensure safe and effective patient care at all times.

Essential Requirements
