Locum Specialist Registrar (SpR) in General Paediatrics – North West England

Position: Specialist Registrar (SpR) in General Paediatrics

Location: North West England, UK

Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (with a view to extend)

Duration: 24th June 2024 – 3rd September 2024 (initially)

Hours: Full Rota including nights, on-call, weekends, late shifts, and normal working days

Start Date: 24th June 2024

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Registrar (SpR) in General Paediatrics to join our team in the North West of England. This is a full-time position available from 24th June 2024 to 3rd September 2024, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will be required to cover a full rota including nights, on-call, weekends, late shifts, and normal working days.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-quality care to paediatric patients.
  2. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized management plans.
  3. Manage acute and chronic paediatric conditions.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
  5. Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and case discussions.
  6. Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
  7. Adhere to clinical guidelines and best practices in paediatrics.

Requirements:

  1. Medical degree and full GMC registration.
  2. Minimum of 6 months NHS experience at the registrar level in paediatrics.
  3. Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  5. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
