Locum Specialist Registrar (SpR) in Care of the Elderly Medicine – London

Position: Specialist Registrar (SpR) in Care of the Elderly Medicine
Location: London, UK
Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (with a view to extend)
Duration: 24th June 2024 – 6th August 2024 (initially)
Hours: 09:00 – 17:00, Full Rota covering days
On-Call: To be discussed at point of booking
Start Date: 24th June 2024

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Registrar (SpR) in Care of the Elderly Medicine to join our team in London. This is a full-time position available from 24th June 2024 to 6th August 2024, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will work from 09:00 to 17:00, covering a full rota opportunity, including days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to elderly patients.
  • Conduct comprehensive geriatric assessments and develop management plans.
  • Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in elderly patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and case discussions.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
  • Adhere to clinical guidelines and best practices in geriatric medicine.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree and full GMC registration.
  • Experience in geriatric medicine at the registrar level.
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and education.
