Are you an experienced Nurse with a passion for supporting children with complex needs? We have an exciting part-time locum role available in Surrey, working within a dedicated School Nursing Team. Enjoy a rewarding role with no weekends or nights - perfect for work-life balance!

Job Title: School Nurse

Location: Surrey

Schedule: 5 Days a Week

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: Ongoing

Rate of Pay: £24.00 per hour (via Umbrella)

What You'll Be Doing

Join a specialist team supporting children with complex health needs in an educational setting. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Conducting health assessments & maintaining care plans
  2. Managing emergency situations on-site
  3. Providing training and guidance to school staff
  4. Attending child protection conferences and completing essential reports
Requirements & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • NMC Registration (Adult, Child, or Learning Disability Nurse)
  • At least 2 years post-qualification experience working with children
  • Experience with children with severe/profound learning disabilities and complex needs
  • Background in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with clinical governance procedures
  • Previous experience in a special school or community setting (preferred)
  • Experience with continence assessments & advising both disabled and non-disabled children
