Locum Right to Buy Legal Assistant – Hybrid – Midlands – Initial 3+ months - £30 Umbrella – Full Time

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a well-established Local Authority in the Midlands. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in managing the Right to Buy process and ensure compliance with legal and procedural requirements.

The Role:

  • Position: Right to Buy Legal Assistant
  • Duration: Initial 3+ months with the possibility for extension
  • Location: Midlands – Hybrid working (1 office day per week is desirable but not essential)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and processing Right to Buy applications from start to completion, ensuring compliance with legislation
  • Conducting eligibility checks, liaising with tenants, legal representatives, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare and issue Section 125 Notices and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Providing advice and guidance to tenants and internal teams regarding Right to Buy procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations

About You:

  • Previous experience in a Right to Buy role within a Local Authority or Housing Association
  • Strong knowledge of Right to Buy legislation and process
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently
