Job summary

Venn Group is seeking a Locum Principal Adult Social Care Lawyer for a fully remote position. This role involves managing a small team of lawyers and legal assistants while dealing with various complex cases including welfare and financial matters under the Care Act 2014. This role offers full-time hours with a competitive rate of £65-£68 per hour, and the initial contract duration is 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Managing a small team of lawyers and legal assistants.
• Conducting advocacy.
• Dealing with all Deprivation of Liberty matters.
• Providing advice & support to the legal team with a focus on Court of Protection Matters.
• Ensuring the management of Court of Protection proceedings and related requests for legal advice.
• Investigating factual circumstances of cases and advising on legal proceedings management.
• Representing in formal legal proceedings, attending Court and undertaking advocacy.
• Managing complex cases comprising of welfare and financial matters arising from the Care Act 2014.
• Dealing with applications to the Court of Protection for welfare matters.
