Locum Primary Care Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

Are you a Band 6 Pharmacy Technician looking for a rewarding locum role in London? We have an exciting opportunity for you!

Job Title: Primary Care Pharmacy Technician (Band 6)

Duration: 6-month contract

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute break)

Start Date: May

End Date: Ongoing

Rate of Pay: £18.00 – £26.00 per hour (DOE)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct medication reviews and medicines reconciliation
• Support repeat prescribing processes and manage prescription queries
• Provide patient-facing advice on medication use
• Liaise closely with GPs, nurses, and other staff to ensure safe and effective prescribing
• Assist with audits and data collection for quality improvement

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Previous experience working in GP Practices or Primary Care
• Completion of CPPE (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team
• A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This is a full-time on-site role in London, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The contract is for 6 months with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
