Job Overview

A well-regarded GP surgery in Shrewsbury is looking for a committed Independent Prescriber to support their clinical team from August onwards. • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (30-minute break)
• Rate of Pay: £30.00 - £40.00 per hour DOE

Position Overview

You will be a vital part of a dynamic clinical team, delivering structured medication reviews, managing chronic conditions, and ensuring safe, effective prescribing practices. The practice emphasizes collaborative working and quality-driven patient care. Hybrid working may be offered once you're fully settled into the role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct in-depth medication reviews and support medicines optimisation
2. Deliver care for patients with long-term conditions in line with clinical guidance
3. Prescribe effectively as an Independent Prescriber
4. Collaborate with GPs, nurses, and allied professionals to ensure joined-up care
5. Keep accurate, detailed records in patient notes

Candidate Requirements

• GPhC-registered Pharmacist
• Independent Prescriber status (essential)
• Minimum of 1 year's experience in general practice or primary care
• Strong clinical knowledge and confident decision-making
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team

Additional Information

This is a full-time locum role (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, 30-minute break), starting in August and continuing on an ongoing basis. There is strong potential for long-term work for the right individual. Remote working may be available after the initial induction phase.
