Job Description:

Are you an ambitious GP Practice-Based Pharmacist seeking a rewarding locum opportunity based in Richmond? This is your chance to join a forward-thinking GP practice making a real difference to patient care. If you hold Independent Prescriber status and have experience in primary care, we want to connect with you.

Your Role:
As a vital part of the practice team, you’ll take responsibility for comprehensive medication reviews and chronic condition management. This role offers a fantastic balance of patient interaction and clinical autonomy, with scope for remote working in the near future for candidates who settle into the role.

• Carry out detailed medication reviews and oversee long-term condition clinics
• Prescribe confidently within your scope as an Independent Prescriber
• Work closely with GPs, nurses, and the wider healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes
• Promote effective prescribing practices and support medicine optimisation
• Ensure thorough and timely documentation of patient care activities

What You’ll Need:
• Current GPhC registration
• Independent Prescriber qualification (mandatory)
• At least 12 months’ experience working in primary care or GP settings
• Excellent communication skills and patient-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Hours & Contract Information:
This full-time locum role is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with a 30-minute break. The contract is ongoing and offers excellent potential for extension based on performance. The practice is also open to exploring remote working options for the right pharmacist.
